Cooperative Training program between the Cook County 6th District States Attorney’s Office and the Blue Island Police.

The Blue Island Police Department recently hosted a cooperative training program with the 6th District Cook County State’s Attorney Office on September 7th, 2010 at the Blue Island Police Department’s Firing Range.

The training was conducted by the departments range master Officer Erick Stahmer and range officers J. Miller, W. Benton, D. Stone and G. Muntean. Range Master Stahmer is a certified range instructor and his range officers have all received extensive range instruction training and certifications from the State of Illinois Training Board.

The assistant states attorneys received basic classroom training covering firearm safety, and basic firearm methods. The states attorney participated in several range activities in order to better understand the overall effects of firearm use. Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Supervisor Mr. Al Lynn and Chief Hoglund coordinated the training workshop.

The training initiative was a successful cooperative effort on behalf of law enforcement and the 6th District Cook County Prosecutors. Thanks to all of the states attorneys and police officers that participated.
