The Blue Island Police Department is investigating two separate sexual assaults, which have occurred
since Monday, January 31 st 20 II. During the sexual assaults, an armed offender accosted the early 20year-
old women, directed them into a residential back yard and sexually assaulted them. The women had
been walking on I 19th Street, between Western Avenue and Vincennes Road, prior to the assaults.

The Offender:
• African American Male,
• Approximately 25-35 years of age,
• 6'00" tall, 280-300 pounds,
• Medium/caramel skin, light facial hair,
mustache and beard,
• Freckles or marks on both cheeks just
below his eyes,
• Wearing a black skull cap and a black
scarf that partially concealed his face,
• Black petty coat (P-Coat) with hood,
• Blue jeans and black with brown Polo
boots.

What You Can Do:
• Be aware of this situation and alert neighbors in the area about the crime.
• If possible, don't walk alone and stay in well-lit areas.
• Call 911 to report any suspicious person(s), vehicle(s) or activity in your neighborhood.
• Call 911 and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) including the vehicle description
and license plate information.
